Train Where It Works Best for You

We come to your gym, or you train with us

Every Mike Allen Sports training session works on the complete game, not a single skill, and every player gets mentoring that goes beyond basketball.

Through professional coaching, skill development, accountability and character building, we help players improve their game, build confidence and become leaders on and off the court. The goal for every player is to walk away stronger, faster, and with a higher basketball IQ.

What players work on

Attack moves are part of every training session, right after ball handling and shooting.

  • Reading the defender's feet and hips
  • Change of pace and change of direction
  • Attacking closeouts off the catch
  • Finishing through contact at the rim
  • Counters when the first move is taken away

How every session is built

Each session follows the same order, so players warm up their bodies first and finish by using their skills in live play.

  1. Athletic Performance

Speed, agility, strength, balance and conditioning to build a stronger, faster athlete.

  2. Ball Handling

Control with both hands, under pressure, at game speed.

  3. Shooting

Form, footwork and game-speed reps off the catch and the dribble.

  4. Attack Moves

Offensive and defensive attack moves: creating space, getting downhill and guarding the ball.

  5. Scrimmaging

Live play where players put the day's work into game situations.

Every session is adjusted to the player's age, position and skill level, from beginners learning the fundamentals to elite players preparing for the next level.
